Shallow Sea Retail Release & Wondrous Creatures Price Adjustment

Shallow Sea Retail Release & Wondrous Creatures Price Adjustment

Hello, Everyone!

We hope you are enjoying the start of autumn. The season of cozy gatherings feels like the perfect time to bring you some exciting news that has us bubbling with joy.

🌊 Shallow Sea – Retail Release Oct. 1st!

Shallow Sea will officially be hitting retail on October 1st!

Many of you may already be familiar with this ocean adventure, since it first made its debut on Kickstarter. The response has been incredible, and we have been thrilled to see the love and excitement surrounding the game.

For those who are just discovering it, Shallow Sea is our love letter to the breathtaking beauty of the Great Barrier Reef. In the game, you will dive beneath the waves to create vivid ocean landscapes, arranging marine life, colorful fish, and corals into a reef that feels alive. What makes Shallow Sea truly unique is its multi-layered puzzle system. Instead of pieces that simply stack, your reef shifts and changes as elements activate, deactivate, and even move, creating exciting combos and thought-provoking choices that make every dive a new adventure.

If you missed the Kickstarter, or if you’ve been looking for the perfect game to share with friends and family this holiday season, now’s your chance to bring this ocean world home. You can pick up your copy directly on our website:

For our Korean readers, the Korean Language Edition of Shallow Sea is available through our Naver Smartstore:

If you would like to see what is inside the box before diving in, we filmed a complete unboxing and reboxing video. It will give you a closer look at the components and show you how everything fits back together after play:

And because we know how important it is to keep your games looking their best, we have also prepared custom card sleeves that fit all of our game cards perfectly. You can find them here:

📢 Upcoming Price Adjustment – Wondrous Creatures Line

Starting November 1st, 2025, the MSRP for the English editions of our Wondrous Creatures line will be adjusted globally. This adjustment reflects rising material costs and the impact of U.S. tariffs, which affect the overall production and distribution costs, not just for the U.S. market but for all regions worldwide.

  • Wondrous Creatures Base Game: $65 → $72
  • Gargantuan Beast Expansion: $18 → $19
  • Upgraded Components: $30 → $32
  • Crew Set: $15 → $18

Please note that no other product lines are affected by this change. All prices will remain unchanged until November 1st, so orders placed before then will not be impacted.

We deeply appreciate your continued support, and if you’ve been considering adding Wondrous Creatures to your collection, now may be the time before the adjustment takes effect.

♟️ Game Submissions

We’re also opening our doors to new ideas! Bad Comet is officially accepting submissions from external game designers. If you’ve been working on something special, visit our new Game Submission page under “Contact Us” on our website to find out how to share your project with us!

🍂 Upcoming Office Break

Please note that our office will be closed from October 3rd through October 9th for the Chuseok holiday, one of the biggest holidays of the year in Korea. Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the year’s harvest, gather with family, share meals, honor ancestors, and celebrate the changing of the seasons. Our team will be taking this time to enjoy the holiday with family and friends.

We will be back on October 10th, refreshed and ready to dive into all the exciting projects ahead.

Thanks as always for being part of the Bad Comet community. Whether you’re exploring the depths of Shallow Sea, adding new Wondrous Creatures to your collection, or dreaming up your own game ideas, we’re thrilled to share these adventures with you.

Wishing you a season full of cozy moments, joyful games, and vibrant autumn days.
